Real Madrid move for AC Milan's Inzaghi

Real Madrid are being linked with AC Milan striker Pippo Inzaghi.

The Italian press are reporting that Real president Florentino Perez has dropped his bid to sign Inter Milan striker Christian Vieri, with the club's change of coach likely to see the Italian international stay at the San Siro next season.

Instead, Perez is now chasing 31 year-old Inzaghi, who could work as a foil to both Ronaldo and Fernando Morientes next season.

Informal talks between Real and Milan have already been held. Its understood Inzaghi is interested in the move, particularly as he doesn't believe coach Carlo Ancelotti has been fully supportive of him this past season.
