Real Madrid move for £30M Liverpool ace Owen

Real Madrid could launch a £30 million bid for Liverpool ace Michael Owen.

Real president Florentino Perez has reportedly had a falling out with star striker Raul, who is furious with the club's handling of the dismissals of trainer Vicente del Bosque and skipper Fernando Hierro.

Perez told the Spanish hitman: "If you want to leave then you can go tomorrow if a club pays even half your get-out clause - and I'll just go and replace you with Michael Owen."

Perez and Real sports chief Jorge Valdano are convinced England possesses two players capable of bringing the same impact on-and-off the pitch as the likes of Luis Figo and Zinedine Zidane.

One is David Beckham, now a Real Madrid player, the other - Michael Owen.
