Real Madrid, Milan move quickly on Beckham after Fergie row

Real Madrid and AC Milan have been alerted to the apparent dressing room row between David Beckham and Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson.

Real sports chief Jorge Valdano and president Florentino Perez are famous for targeting 'cracks', players who can contribute as much off the pitch as they can on it.

Perez said last year that England boasted two such players - Liverpool striker Michael Owen and Beckham.

The European champs are looking for a successor to Luis Figo and Beckham's situation at Old Trafford has re-ignited their interest.

Meanwhile, Milan were last night instructing agents to seek talks with the England ace.

Club president Silvio Berlusconi has told Beckham's advisors that the offer he made two years ago remains on the table.
