Real Madrid midfielder Diarra: I quit game for two years

Real Madrid midfielder Lassana Diarra has revealed how he quit the game for two years.

It wasn't until he was convinced to return by Le Havre that the midfielder was able to get his career back on the rails.

"Yes not only did I think about quitting, but I stopped between the ages of 15 and 17 years. During that time I was home, I returned to school and hung out with my old friends in Paris," said Diarra.

"But Le Havre came for me. Also, my family told me it was a shame for me to give up after putting so much effort in. But I did not want to play, even for a team in Paris. I just felt like, at best, playing with my friends."
