Real Madrid meet Xabi contract demands

After talks had stalled over the length of his new contract, the midfielder's form in recent games has nudged Real into meeting his two-year demands.

Only on the weekend, Real coach Carlo Ancelotti declared: "Xabi sees the play before anyone else has anticipated it. He's very important."

Xabi's current deal expires in June.
