Real Madrid matchwinner Cassano: They called me fatty!

Antonio Cassano's full debut for Real Madrid was a spectacular triumph last night.
 
The Italian striker struck the winner in Madrid's 1-0 Copa del Rey victory at Real Betis and said afterwards: "I'm happy because the team has gained an important result."

"For me it was very important to win."

"If I am honest, I could not have had a better debut. I am very happy and I hope that this form continues into the next game."

Cassano revealed he was taunted by Betis fans: "People shouted 'fatty' to me from the stands, but I was very calm."

"For me the important thing is that the team wins and everything else is secondary. Whether I'm fat or not, the good thing for us is the victory."
