Real Madrid marketing team discuss Roma's Totti

Real Madrid's marketing team have been discussing the value of the club signing AS Roma star Francesco Totti.

The Italian international is under consideration by Real president Florentino Perez as the club's next big signing, though any decision will be partly based on Totti's ability to make a marketing impact.

Totti is on record saying he would only leave hometown club Roma for one other - Real Madrid.

The stumbling block for any summer deal for Totti is Real's wage cap. The Spanish giants will not go higher than £4 million-a-year with their players.

Totti is on a massive £6.7 million salary at Roma and his contract doesn't run out until 2006.
