Real Madrid make new contract offer to Solari

Real Madrid have tabled a new contract offer to midfielder Santiago Solari.

The offer is for three years and is worth a similar £2 million-a-season to what he is currently earning. His present deal expires in the summer.

Solari also counts on offers from Manchester United and Liverpool, though insists his priority is to re-sign with Real.

Real vice-president Emilio Butragueno made the offer to Solari last week after a meeting with president Florentino Perez and general manager Arrigo Sacchi.

Solari has been in superb form in recent weeks which has pressured Real into moving forward scheduled talks with the Argentine over a new deal.
