Real Madrid make new bid for Sevilla defender Ramos

Real Madrid have made a new bid for Sevilla defender Sergio Ramos rising to £15 million.
 
The offer is dependent on various success and appearance bonuses, but is the biggest Sevilla have received this summer for Ramos.

Sevilla president Jose Maria del Nido has shown little interest in the new bid, which still falls well short of Ramos' £18 million buyout clause. Del Nido won't consider cashing in on Ramos while the future of Julio Baptista remains undecided.

Sevilla coach Juande Ramos said: "People inside the club have assured me that Sergio will not be sold for one peseta less than his buyout clause."
