Real Madrid make contact with Liverpool over Ronaldo

Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez has been contacted by Real Madrid intermediaries about his interest in Ronaldo.

Spanish media reports state that a Real Madrid official has been in touch with Benitez over the Brazilian striker's availability this week.
 
Ronaldo blasted Real's fans before Tuesday night's defeat by Arsenal and admits he could move on in the summer.

He said: "We'll see what happens at the end of the season and if we win some silverware, then we'll decide on my future."

"This is a marvellous city with spectacular fans, but I haven't felt any affection in the Bernabeu yet. I have often left the field to jeers. If I am in the way here, then I can leave. I am a professional and will respect my contract, then we will see what happens."

He added: "I don't want to talk about specific options for next year, as that wouldn't be very professional of me. Besides, I want to say that it's not certain I'm going. I just want the Real fans to have a little more patience with me."
