Real Madrid make cash-plus-player offer for Fiorentina fullback Vargas

Real Madrid have made a cash-plus-player offer for Fiorentina fullback Juan Manuel Vargas.

Florence's La Nazione says Real have tabled a £12 million cash bid plus fullback Royston Drenthe in exchange for the Peru international.

Real have made the move after learning of an approach from Liverpool for Vargas earlier this week.
