Velez Sarsfield star Nicolas Otamendi is the subject of interest from Real Madrid.

Argentine sources say Real GM Jorge Valdano has held talks with Velez president Fernando Raffaini about the 21 year-old.

Velez are seeking £18 million for Otamendi.
