Real Madrid locked in talks with both Lyon AND Benzema

Real Madrid remain keen on bringing Olympique Lyon star Karim Benzema to Spain.

Contrary to claims that Real's interest had gone cold after their swoop for Ajax striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar, it's emerged that they've been speaking with both Benzema's agent, Karim Djaziri, and Lyon for the past six weeks.

Indeed, AS says Benzema, himself, and Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas have sat in on recent negotiations with Real.

Aulas wants £40 million for the France international and is prepared to sell him at the end of this season.
