Real Madrid loan swap as Fiorentina want Morientes

Real Madrid striker Fernando Morientes has been linked with Fiorentina.

A loan swap could be on, with Javier Portillo returning to Real in January in exchange for Morientes moving to Florence for the rest of the season.

Fiorentina president Diego Della Valle wants to sign a centre-forward in January and along with Morientes, has also been linked with Udinese's Vincenzo Iaquinta.
