Real Madrid, Liverpool watch as Ayala's Valencia future in doubt

Valencia president Jaime Orti insists Roberto Ayala will stay with the club.

The Argentina international almost joined Real Madrid last week and was a shock omission from the Valencia team for the match against Valladolid.

Liverpool and Manchester United are also chasing Ayala, whose teammates have spoken publicly that he does not feel valued by Valencia.

"Our club needs Ayala," said Orti. "There are no problems."
