Real Madrid legend Santillana: Benzema too timid

Real Madrid legend Santillana believes Karim Benzema needs to be withdrawn from the frontline.

Santillana doesn't believe the France striker can fight through his current form slump.

He told Marca: "Benzema's head is not really in the game. Maybe he's not what Real Madrid needs right now, but we need to get his confidence back."

"He does not have a fighter's personality, but even if he does look a little timid, I'm sure we'll see the best side of him again."
