Real Madrid legend Paco Buyo is backing Rafa Benitez to bring success to the club.

Benitez was confirmed as new Real coach a fortnight ago. "He is a man that has shown great ability as a manager," said Buyo.

"I know him perfectly well because we worked together when I was at Real Madrid when he was starting out as a coach. He's a modern manager, very clued-up on what he is doing and I have no doubt that he will leave his mark at Real Madrid."
