Real Madrid launch new cash, player bid for Fiorentina's Mutu

Real Madrid have launched a new bid for Fiorentina striker Adrian Mutu.

La Nazione says Real have tabled an £11 million offer plus one player in exchange for Romania international Mutu in January.

Julio Baptista and Mahamadou Diarra have been mentioned as makeweights in Real's offer, though Fiorentina sports chief Pantaleo Corvino is adamant Mutu will not be sold.
