Real Madrid know Barcelona transfer secrets

Real Madrid have preliminary plans of Barcelona's transfer market intentions, it has been revealed.

Barca coach Frank Rijkaard admitted yesterday that he consulted with good friend Arrigo Sacchi over possible signings before the Italian was appointed Real Madrid general manager over Christmas.

"I often speak with Sacchi. There are no problems, we spoke about players," revealed Rijkaard.

"I am calm (on the subject of the winter signings). We are working on this all the time. We want to sign what the team needs and also for the future."

"It is better not to sign for the sake of it, but to sign correctly based on necessities."
