Real Madrid kid rejects Man Utd approach

Real Madrid starlet Javi Garcia has rejected a transfer to Manchester United.

The 17-year-old was offered generous terms to move to Old Trafford.

However, Garcia - full name Francisco Javier Garcia Fernandez - has decided to stay at El Santiago Bernabeu, where he will start next season with Madrid's 'B' side.

"The first thing I knew about the offer from Manchester was from my father and then my agent," Garcia explained to AS.

"I cold not believe it, it is very pleasant to known that a side like Manchester is interested - as they are one of the best side's in the world."

"But I never wanted to leave Madrid, not for Manchester or any club."

"I am very happy here and they deal with me very well, Madrid is Madrid - the club of my soul."
