Real Madrid keeper Lopez: I can cover Casillas

Real Madrid goalkeeper Diego Lopez says he is ready if he is called on to replace the injured Iker Casillas in the early weeks of the new season.

Casillas is suffering from a thigh injury, Lopez said: "If unfortunately the injury prevents Iker from playing, I am ready. I am the second goalkeeper of Real Madrid and knew that this could happen."

"I am prepared because I trust my ability. What would Iker say to me if I must play? Surely he would be happy for me and say to me to be calm. Do I have more pressure? No, the pressure at Madrid always is massive."
