Real Madrid keep tabs on Chelsea's unhappy Carvalho

Real Madrid are set to move for Chelsea's disgruntled defender Ricardo Carvalho.

The Portugal international is facing a staggering £140,000 fine for blasting manager Jose Mourinho in the press this week. Mourinho continued the battle yesterday by questioning the defender's intelligence in the British media.

Real Madrid intend to use the cash raised by Michael Owen's sale to fund a bid for Carvalho this week. The Spanish giants were convinced they had signed Carvalho last summer from Porto before Chelsea stepped in with their mega £19.5 million bid.
