Real Madrid join interest for Sporting Lisbon ace Veloso

Real Madrid have expressed interest in Sporting Lisbon midfielder Miguel Veloso.

O Jogo says Real have been alerted to Genoa’s push for the Portugal international and have made their interest known.

Madrid have in Lass Diarra, Mahamadou Diarra and Fernando Gago plenty of options for that department, but coach Jose Mourinho is not too happy with the trio and could let at least two of them move on in the summer.

Mourinho is an admirer of Veloso's qualities, having looked into the possibility of signing him during his time at the helm of Inter Milan.
