Real Madrid insist Woodgate could play this season

Real Madrid have denied English press reports that defender Jonathan Woodgate won't play this season.

Woodgate is working through a thigh injury and Real medical staff will not make a decision on whether the England defender will play before the end of this season until it receives the results of tests from several experts consulted from around the world.

It is believed Woodgate won't make his Real debut until next season, but the club maintains no decision has been made.
