Real Madrid inform Man Utd, Juventus: Makelele is available

Real Madrid sports chief Jorge Valdano has approached interested clubs with the news that Claude Makelele is available for sale at the end of the season.

The French international's representatives have already held talks this season with Manchester United and Juventus, while the player has admitted he could leave Spain in June.

The biggest clubs from England, Germany and Italy have all been told by Real advisors that Makelele will be sold in the summer - with the starting price set at £8 million.

Along with United and Juve, Inter Milan and Bayern Munich are also in the running for the French midfielder.
