Real Madrid include Palencia in bid for Seville's Ramos

Real Madrid have made a new offer to Seville for young defender Sergio Ramos.
 
Seville president Jose Maria del Nido refuses to budge from his asking price of £17 million for Spanish international Ramos. Real Madrid insist their original offer of £10 million cash is as high as they will go. But their new bid includes 21 year-old defender Miguel Palencia to make up the shortfall.

Seville technical staff have already made an assessment of Palencia and are convinced he would be an adequate replacement for Ramos. Real will insist on a buy-back option for the fullback.

Palencia is keen to see the move happen. He was handed his Liga debut by Real coach Vanderlei Luxemburgo last season and also had his contract extended to 2008 by the Brazilian.
