Real Madrid in talks with Seville for Ramos

Real Madrid have opened serious talks with Seville for defender Sergio Ramos.
 
Seville president Jose Maria del Nido declared on Monday: "The only formal offer we have for Ramos is from Valencia, which was for £10 million.

"I have told Real Madrid to pay his buyout clause (£18 million), that's the only way they can speak to him."

However, it's understood talks have resumed over the last 24 hours between directors of Real and Seville, with Del Nido privately ready to accept £15 million for Ramos.

Real have matched Valencia's £10 million bid and are reluctant to go higher. The pressure is on Seville, however, with a new contract tabled to Ramos yet to be signed.
