Real Madrid in shock talks for Inter Milan ace Adriano

Real Madrid are making a shock move for Inter Milan striker Adriano - which threatens a split inside the Spanish giants.

AS says Real president Ramon Calderon has given the green light for negotiations to begin for the Brazilian - without the knowledge of sports director Pedja Mijatovic.

Real director Jose Angel Sanchez, along with the club's Italian agent, Enzo Bronzetti, have been speaking with Inter president Massimo Moratti for the past fortnight about Adriano. Gilmar Rinaldi, the striker's agent, has also been contacted by Real.

Neither Mijatovic, nor fellow football director Franco Baldini, have been involved in negotiations. Indeed, neither man was aware of the talks - suggesting a split inside the club.

Adriano has welcomed Real's interest and knows Sanchez after the Florentino Perez regime previously tried for the striker.
