Real Madrid have been linked with Arsenal defender Sol Campbell.

Real sports chief Jorge Valdano and president Florentino Perez have made a new centre-half a top priority for the summer market.

After cooling their interest in AS Roma's Walter Samuel, Campbell has emerged as Spanish giants' new target.

Perez knows Campbell enjoys a high-profile with Arsenal and England and is well-known throughout Asia.

It's understood Real are willing to offer the Gunners £10 million for the 29 year-old.
