Real Madrid in Fiorentina talks for Vargas

Real Madrid are watching Fiorentina fullback Juan Manuel Vargas.

Still unsure of current left-back options Marcelo and Royston Drenthe, Real are seriously weighing up a January move for a new defender.

Peru 21 reports that Vargas is again on Real's radar and there are claims a €20 million deal has already been struck with Fiorentina for the end of this season.

Vargas has been a long-term target for Real since his days with Catania.
