Real Madrid in Benfica talks over Newcastle target Miguel

Real Madrid coach Jose Antonio Camacho is interested in his former Benfica wing-back Miguel.

The Portugal international is available for a knockdown £3.5 million and is seen by Camacho as an ideal understudy to Real right-back Michel Salgado.

Real have already held talks with Benfica over Miguel, while also in negotiations for defender Luisao.

Newcastle United and Charlton Athletic have also been linked with Miguel since the end of last season.
