Real Madrid in advanced talks with Sacchi

Real Madrid are in advanced negotiations with former AC Milan and Italy coach Arrigo Sacchi.

Sacchi is being lined up by Real president Mariano Garcia Remon as his 'super director', with the Italian veteran to be responsible for hiring and firing players and coaching staff, as well as working closely with the head trainer.

Perez hopes to bring Sacchi, who is currently a director with Parma, to Madrid in the opening months of the new season. Current sports chief Emilio Butragueno will continue in his present role, but will step aside if and when Sacchi arrives.
