Real Madrid in £35M bid for Man Utd's Van Nistelrooy

Real Madrid are preparing a mega offer to land Manchester Unietd striker Ruud van Nistelrooy.

Insiders at both clubs say that Real have been talking with United for weeks and are now prepared to offer a fee that United may consider just too good to refuse.

United would prefer to find Van Nistelrooy's replacement before selling the Dutchman, but Real president Florentino Perez is anxious to have the transfer completed ahead of the club's presidential elections.
