Real Madrid identities admit Messi admiration

Leo Messi admits his hat-trick for Barcelona in the El Clasico can be a turning point in his career.

"I needed that," said the Argentine last week, before he was again on the mark against Recreativo de Huelva on Saturday night.

Messi has scored seven goals this season - from just 13 efforts on goal - and his exploits are even drawing praise from Real Madrid identities.

"I think with Leo Messi we are going to be even more amazed by him in the future," said Real captain Raul yesterday.

Former Real coach and sports director Pedja Mijatovic also declared: "He's a left-sided bullet that attacks the opposition goal in unexpected ways."
