Real Madrid hero Soldado: I wasn't nervous

Real Madrid match-winner Roberto Soldado says he had no nerves going onto the Santiago Bernabeu pitch against Olympiakos on Wednesday night.
 
Soldado headed home a late winner at the second attempt and last night he said: "The truth is that I have wanted to make my Champions League debut for a very long time."

"The coach gave me my opportunity and I scored and I'm happy with the three points."

"Ten minutes had gone in the second-half when the coach asked me to warm up. I had done the same for Lyon, though didn't play that time. But when he called me I jumped up immediately. I was ready and I was calm."

"This is my seventh season at Real Madrid since I arrived from Valencia. It's been hard, but these experiences are great compensation. I am very happy."
