Real Madrid have bid for Chelsea's Robben

Real Madrid have made a £13.5 million bid for Chelsea winger Arjen Robben.

The Sun says the Dutch winger, 23, is now waiting to learn if Chelsea will accept the offer.

Robben's dad and agent Hans said: "I know Real have made a bid to Chelsea for my son."

"When you are talking about Real Madrid, it has to be said that it's one of the best clubs in the world."

"Who wouldn't want to play for Real Madrid? My son wants to play at clubs that can win the Champions League and Real Madrid is one of them."

Real's offer is virtually the same amount Chelsea forked out to land Florent Malouda from Lyon.
