Real Madrid goalkeeper Keylor Navas wants to stay 'for many years' despite club's links to Manchester United stopper David de Ge

Real Madrid might be lining up another move for Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea but Keylor Navas has no plan to relinquish his No 1 jersey soon.

The Costa Rica international outlined his desire to stay at Madrid for the foreseeable future after helping them to the Champions League final on Wednesday.

Zinedine Zidane's side lost 2-1 to Atletico Madrid but advanced with a 4-2 aggregate victory.

"I want to stay at Real Madrid for many years to come," Navas, who has played 37 times for Madrid this season, said.

"I don't care what people say, I just do my job. I notice the fans' support, it makes me feel well-liked."

Navas has struggled to produce his finest form for Madrid in this campaign but believes it is down to a limited summer schedule, as he was recovering from an achilles injury.

Navas said: "It hasn't been an easy year for me. Having a reduced pre-season was a major burden for me but now I'm feeling great."

"I'm grateful for being able to play these sorts of matches."

Madrid are currently second in La Liga but are level with leaders Barcelona on 84 points and have a game in hand.
