Real Madrid GM Valdano: Inter Milan are welcome to Beckham

Real Madrid sports chief Jorge Valdano insists the European giants are not interested in David Beckham.

Indeed, Valdano said yesterday that Real were happy to leave the way clear for Inter Milan to sign the Manchester United star at the end of the season.

He said, "We are very well equipped in midfield. I don't believe we need anymore midfielders."

"I must say that the star of Manchester United does not interest us. Moreover, £30 to £35 million is too much for us at this moment."

"If Beckham does interest Inter, then I guess they have a clear path to try and sign him."
