Real Madrid GM Valdano insists Van Nistelrooy deal still on

Real Madrid GM Jorge Valdano says a move for Hamburg striker Ruud van Nistelrooy is still bubbling along.

Hamburg are battling to keep their 34 year-old.

Valdano revealed that any return to the club for Van Nistelrooy would be completed this week.

He said: "We're on it. This week is going to be definitely one way or another."
