Real Madrid GM Sacchi warming to Meghni

Real Madrid general manager Arrigo Sacchi is in agreement with president Florentino Perez in his glowing assessment of Bologna midfielder Mourad Meghni.

The French youngster was watched by Sacchi last week on a scouting trip to Italy and the Real chief is convinced the midfielder has all the makings of a future galactico.

Sacchi took in Bologna's clash with AS Roma and while Italian speculation suggested he was running the rule over Roma trio Francesco Totti, Antonio Cassano and midfielder Mancini, the player who is becoming the more likely Real target every day is Meghni.

In France he is already regarded as Zinedine Zidane's successor in Raymond Domenech's national team and can now count on Perez and Sacchi as firm fans.
