Real Madrid GM Sacchi suspends contract talks

Real Madrid have suspended all contract talks until later this season.

Real general manager Arrigo Sacchi won't begin negotiations over new deals until March. Its understood directors do not want to take the focus away from the players as he they seek to reign in Liga leaders Barcelona and also prepare for a Champions League clash with Juventus.

Goalkeeper Caesar and midfielders Santiago Solari and Alberto Celades are all coming off contract at the end of this season. No1 goalkeeper Iker Casillas and winger Luis Figo are also demanding talks over new deals, with their present contracts to expire in the summer of 2006.
