Sacchi spoke with Luxemburgo after a day-long meeting with vice-president Emilio Butragueño and technical chief Ramon Martinez discussing the tactics for the winter market.
Luxemburgo and Sacchi met for three hours and agreed on the need to bring in a new central midfielder. The player in question must hold a European passport, not be Cup-tied from the Champions League and have the quality needed to bring credibility to the Real Madrid shirt.
