Real Madrid give up on the signing of Barcelona forward target

Barcelona and Real Madrid have been in a constant tussle for a number of players, headlined by none other than Erling Haaland.

With the Borussia Dortmund man ready to leave Bundesliga, the two big dogs of Spain are looking sign him in the summer.

Apart from Haaland, Pablo Torre, Racing Santander’s attacking midfielder, is a player on both club’s radars. However, according to a recent update from Mario Cortegana, Madrid have given up on his signing. It would be surprising if he did not end up at Barça in the summer.

At 18, Torre has been the protagonist in Racing’s charge for promotion to the second-tier of Spanish football. With six goals and six assists this season, the youngster is the top scorer for the club and the fifth-joint top-scorer in the league.

His release clause is set at €10 million, but Barcelona are expected to complete the signing for a sum below that. Torre’s progress has been compared with that of Pedri, and therefore, it is no surprise that the Catalan giants are head over heels for his signature.
