Real Madrid gear up for return to La Liga action as international stars train ahead of Levante clash

The Real Madrid squad completed their third training session of the week, as preparations for Saturday's return to La Liga action against Levante at the Santiago Bernabeu continued apace.

Zinedine Zidane has welcomed back those members of his squad who have been away on international duty ahead of the third domestic match of the campaign.

Dani Carvajal, Nacho, Marco Asensio and Lucas Vazquez returned to take part in the group session, where they were joined by Cristiano Ronaldo and Marcos Llorente.

Meanwhile, Isco and Toni Kroos completed running drills out on the training pitches. The Whites carried out control, passing and pressure drills, before working on shots on goal.

To round off the session, the Madridistas played several matches on reduced-sized pitches to work on their possession with the side expected to dominate against the side from the east coast of Spain.

The squad were joined by the club's B team - Castilla's Luca, Tejero and Quezada, as well as Under-19s player, Moha.

Meanwhile, Raphael Varane took to the training pitches to work on some individual exercises.

Isco has been in superb form this season, and he has spoken of his desire to remain at Madrid for the foreseeable future - despite entering the final year of his current deal.

The 25-year-old carried his form for Madrid into the international break - scoring twice for Spain against Italy, but the midfielder is keeping his feet on the ground.

He said: "I have always thought about being a success at Madrid, even in the moments when I was getting less playing time."

"I knew I should not give in, and here I am today. I feel important at the moment and very comfortable, and hope to keep going like this for many years for both Madrid and Spain."
