Real Madrid fume as Barcelona boss Guardiola gets his ref: A huge Messi fan!

There's great controversy over the naming of Wolfgang Stark to officiate Real Madrid's Champions League semi against Barcelona.

UEFA named Stark as the game's ref barely hours after Barca coach Pep Guardiola had complained about rumours that Pedro Proenca would be in charge.

"Mourinho will be very happy to have a Portuguese in charge," snapped Guardiola.

However, it's been revealed Stark is a massive Lionel Messii fan - just to add to the controversy.

"He's one of the best players in the world, there are very few like him. It is a pleasure to watch him play," Stark said during the World Cup.
