Real Madrid fullback Carvajal: I did not bite anyone

Real Madrid defender Dani Carvajal has rubbished claims of biting Atletico Madrid striker Mario Mandzukic.

Carvajal spoke after the Champions League quarterfinal first-leg had finished 0-0, unaware of all the fuss.

But he later tweeted: "Seeing after the game that I am accused of biting an opposition player, I want to make clear that I have not bitten anyone, nor attempted to do so."

At the final whistle the fullback stated: "I do not think we are favorites, we drew at Atleti, which is a very difficult team. We need the fans to be the number 12 and to move on to the semifinals we're going to give everything."
