Real Madrid fitness concerns over Liverpool's Owen

Real Madrid chiefs have reportedly gone cold on Liverpool striker Michael Owen.

The England international's fitness concerns have raised doubts at Real over his ability to last a fully fledged campaign involving La Liga and Champions League commitments.

A reported Real Madrid source said: "Owen has done well for England but Real have looked at his fitness and don't think he will be able to maintain his condition over a season."
