Real Madrid fight corner over Inter Milan-Ronaldo case

Real Madrid sports director Jorge Valdano says the club will appeal FIFA's decision that they must pay the final installment of Ronaldo's transfer to Inter Milan.

Originally, Santiago Solari was to go to Inter as the final piece of business between the two clubs, but the Argentine has refused to leave Real.

FIFA have ordered Real to pay Inter £7 million by the end of the month, but Valdano says: "We will try to explore every avenue to fight our case."

"Inter must understand they have made mistakes in some of the clauses in the contract and we will fight to defend our rights."

"(But) If we have to pay, we will pay."
