Spanish newspaper AS today reported on a poll they undertook in which a whopping 79% of the Real Madrid fanbase admitted they would prefer to have Keylor Navas between the sticks than David De Gea.
Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea was just minutes away from a dream move to Real Madrid last summer but the deal collapsed late on in controversial circumstances.
The young Madrid born stopper has maintained his superb form at Old Trafford whilst Costa Rican keeper Keylor Navas has been embraced by the fans at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Having played second fiddle to Iker Casillas, Keylor Navas is still yet to conceded in the Champions League this season and it is no wonder the fans are wholeheartedly behind him in this poll.
Manchester United fans will be jubilant at the news, as the 25-year-old De Gea has been the only reliable figure at the club since Sir Alex Ferguson’s departure in 2013.
