Real Madrid encouraged after new talks with Arsenal's Wenger

Real Madrid presidential candidate Juan Miguel Villar Mir is convinced he can persuade Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger to move to Spain.
 
Marca says discussions in the last 24 hours have led to Villar Mir's supporters becoming increasingly confident that Wenger wants to join Real Madrid.

Villa Mir already has a commitment from Juventus coach Fabio Capello, but his first-choice is Wenger and any return to Madrid for the Italian will be dependent on the Arsenal manager's final answer.

Villa Mir expects a definite answer from Wenger, one way or the other, by the weekend - if not sooner.
